How To See God and Love

How To See God and Love

If you want to see God, look at kindness—someone holding a door, a quiet hug, a smile across the room. These are not accidents; they are glimpses of The Holy Spirit working through ordinary people. Scripture tells us that God made us from earth (Genesis 2:7), that love comes from God (1 John 4:7-8), and that The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in The Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). When you notice these moments, you are witnessing Heaven on earth.

At Pentecost God poured out His Spirit on people from every nation (Acts 2). That outpouring meant God’s heart was being given to humanity. Even those who haven’t yet named Him can still feel that heart—an unexpected comfort, an act of mercy, a sudden peace. Paul writes about the hidden wisdom and illumination God gives (1 Corinthians 2; 2 Corinthians 4:6-7). Look for that light.

But be aware: the enemy is non-physical. He comes to steal the seed of The Word before it can grow (Matthew 13:18-23). Our task is simple and urgent: spread the seed and support its growth. Meet people with patience, encourage one another, gather together, and tend one another’s hearts (Hebrews 10:23-25).

When we do this, love grows—quietly, powerfully, inevitably—making everything new, like an oak tree growing out of the dead stump of our old, sinful nature (Matthew 13:31-32). That is how God is seen. I cherish kindness and sometimes cry with joy when I notice or think on God’s heart. 🙂

Love conquers all (1 Corinthians 13:7).

This has been edited by ChatGPT for clarity and flow, but the scriptural references and their deep ideas and connections were given to me by The Holy Spirit.
